In 2021 I participated SculptJanuary to force myself to practice sculpting thoroughly.
I was lucky that nothing got in my way that month, so I was able to sculpt all 31 topics. Most in January, the last in early February...
"Decorative Bones" was the topic of SculptJanuary 2021 Day 24. - The little dog created some healthy chaos :-)
I started a new blend file and appended the naughty dog from Day 7...
I could use him, but his pose had to be changed a lot...
...but that didn't work out as well as expected...
...because of my clumsiness he got a broken back, a crushed nose and shattered legs!...
...but thankfully it was repairable...with some time and effort...
...he looked a bit better already...
Then...something completely different...
...I modeled a plinth...
...something our dog messed with...
His snout should open more...
...that didn't go without problems either...it got a torned jaw and cracked cheekbone!
...but with a little more effort and patience that also turned out well...
...now I modeled a foot of a skeleton...
...with sufficient geometry...
...to sculpt it more naturally...
His muzzle had to be opened wider for this...
Now I appended some other bones from Day 26 (I worked on Day 24 and Day 26 simultaneously,
as they both required parts of a skeleton). Their scale was very different, but that was easily adaptable...
The old, yellowed bones didn't fit here... On Day 26 it were real bones, yellowed and weathered...
